The Mitsubishi A6M Zero was one of the most modern carrier based aircraft in the world at the time of its introduction in the beginning of World War II. It had excellent agility and maneuverability with long range capabilities. The A6M was usually referred as the "Zero". It earned a reputation as a fierce dogfighter with an overwhelming kill ratio of 12 – 1.
The Airfield 800mm warbird series is constructed of highly durable EPO foam. This translates into impact and shock resistant foam and is easy to repair. Its wings span 800mm with a fuselage length of 618mm. The landing gears provide ample support during take off and landing. The prop is thrown by a recommended 1300KV brushless outrunner motor with support from a 20amp ESC. Control surfaces are handled by four 9gram servos for precise movement. A steerable tail wheel allows the pilot to taxi around the runway. Powering all these electronics is a recommended 11.1v 800mah Li-Po Battery. The grey paint scheme is vivid while a scale pilot finishes off this beautiful Zero.
This kit version comes with the foam airframe only. Designed carefully for beginners and advanced users, it provides stable flight at scale like speeds. You will need to provide an electronics, power package, radio system, and 11.1v 800mah battery with charger to complete the flight package. Choose a system for scale speeds or build a beast of a Zero.
