This is an
awesome direct drive Motor. Dollar for Dollar about the best upgrade for the GWS
war-birds I have seen. This motor is comparable to the Mega 16/15/7. Similar to
the Aurora 400T, and the Motor Max (MTM) 400T. This is a type A motor. Meaning
the shaft is removable, and can be flipped from a pusher to a puller
application. No more press fitting a shaft or buying a new bell if your shaft
breaks. Simply loosen the set screw and the shaft pulls out for easy replacement
or mounting configuration changes. Made with high temp and high RPM bearings,
high temp magnets good beyond 180 degrees. Recently re-worked to provide a
closer tolerance shaft fit. Comes with 3.0mm shaft but 2.3mm is available on
request.

The 400T comes
with an "X" mount and screws (you will need connectors to the ESC). Fits
in to any GWS type speed 400 gear box. And has fit every
aluminum outrunner type mount we have tried so far. Mounting holes are 16mm (or
roughly 5/8 in.)
All shafts are 3mm
but we usually stock 2.3mm shafts if you prefer. With the
2.3mm shaft a pinion from a GWS 400 gear box will fit
perfectly. Also no more press fitting a pinion and risk bending the shaft.
Simply slide the pinion on and apply a dab of lock tight.

Tech
Notes: This motor is conservatively rated at 12 amps. Folks flying at lower
elevations with an 8x4 are peaking at 13.5 Amps. But here at almost a mile above
sea level the air is thinner. To get the performance from our motors we usually
have to prop up (increasing amp draw) or volt up (creating higher rpm's/amps).
That being said keep in mind at lower elevations you will develop more thrust
with little increase in amp draw. Fun little motor for planes to 20 oz.. Use on
GWS type war birds and the ultrafly type parkflyers, others to 20oz.
